Fairies With Children - Los Angeles CA - 787591
07-31-10 - Los Angeles, CA>San Diego, CA - "Fairies With Children (The Yes on Hate Episode)" a musical spoof that has nothing to do with the original show, but does feature a drag Peggy Bundy and a drag Marcy Darcy. This is primarily a Political Satire dealing with issues of equality. What to Prepare:We will suggest sides from the original TV show that area available also have sides from our original show. For the two main roles, you really need to pull off the mannerisms and comic timing of Al and Peg Bundy. You should also prepare a Broadway show tune in the appropriate range and brink track. Project Notes: Our previous show the Golden Gays was a great success taking us from a 50 seat Theatre to Miami Beach in a 500 seat house. We get a lot of visibility for our actors and make that part of our goal. We know you work for almost nothing and design our shows to get you noticed by industry. This show has a two year potential life span as it focuses on Marriage Equality, Don't Ask Don't Tell, and Employment Discrimination (in a very surface and fun way). Story Line: The story centers around a group of gay activist who determine that they must infiltrate the conservative suburbs of Los Angeles to change the hearts and minds of these ignorant people. They do so by posing as an ordinary American couple (Peg and Al Bundy). Happily, the home they find happens to be right next door to that of conservative Republican Senator Bavid Breier and "his assistant". When Bavid Breier realizes the activist plan, he decides to fight fire with fire and infiltrate their world as Jefferson and Marcy Darcy. Meanwhile, Al Bundy takes a job at the "gay-less shoe source" where he comes across a full figured customer Sandy They have instant dislike for one another however Al must keep his enemies close at hand by befriending the woman as she represents the whole Republican community. Eventually, somehow Sandy morphs into Tracy Turnblatt from hairspray for a couple of Musical numbers. Fans of the original show will also get a small dose of a sarcastic talking dog, a wise cracking son, and a not so bright blonde daughter. Of course both Peg and Marcy will be played by men, and there will be plenty of camp to go around. The show parodies seven songs from contemporary musicals. -- Project Type: Live Event

The Last Night of Ballyhoo - Greenville - 787094
07-30-10 - Charlotte, NC>Columbia, SC - THE STORY: THE LAST NIGHT OF BALLYHOO takes place in Atlanta, Georgia, in December of 1939. Gone with the Wind is having its world premiere, and Hitler is invading Poland, but Atlanta's elitist German Jews are much more concerned with who is going to Ballyhoo, the social event of the season. Especially concerned is the Freitag family: bachelor Adolph, his widowed sister, Beulah (Boo) Levy, and their also widowed sister-in-law, Reba. Boo is determined to have her dreamy, unpopular daughter, Lala, attend Ballyhoo, believing it will be Lala's last chance to find a socially acceptable husband. Adolph brings his new assistant, Joe Farkas, home for dinner. Joe is Brooklyn born and bred, and furthermore is of Eastern European heritage-several social rungs below the Freitags, in Beulah's opinion. Lala, however, is charmed by Joe and she hints broadly about being taken to Ballyhoo, but he turns her down. This enrages Boo, and matters get worse when Joe falls for Lala's cousin, Reba's daughter, Sunny, home from Wellesley for Christmas vacation. Will Boo succeed in snaring Peachy Weil, a member of one of the finest Jewish families in the South? Will Sunny and Joe avoid the land mines of prejudice that stand in their way? Will Lala ever get to Ballyhoo? The family gets pulled apart and then mended together with plenty of comedy, romance and revelations along the way. Events take several unexpected turns as the characters face where they come from and are forced to deal with who they really are. -- Project Type: Live Event
