My name is Michael Sanchez and I am currently running a music studio out of my home in the Wyoming Area, close to the Rivertown Crossings Mall! I teach violin, and I have hired two other musicians so far that teach piano and bass guitar. I am looking to expand to offer both guitar lessons and voice lessons to students in the Grand Rapids Area. I currently have students that are interested in lessons, and just need a teacher to fill those needs!
I provide the studio, students and scheduling. All you have to do is come in and teach! I am currently offering a wage at $18/hour.
- I am looking for a teacher with some sort of teaching experience in the past. Being able to teach through a learning system is very important (must be able to read music fluently). Not looking for a "jammer." Having music education at the University Level is preferred.
- Being reliable is the number one trait that I am looking for. I expect the teacher to be at every lesson, on-time. Having flexible availabilties especially in the evenings is preferred.
- Clean-cut image is a must. No visable tattoos, piercings, or long-hair. I dress business casual for all my students.
- Being able to teach all ages is important. The more versitility you have the better!
I am a marketing major from Western Michigan University and the biggest asset I bring to the table is finding students, organizing schedules, and providing a great place to teach the students. To be blunt, our crowd needs to be entertained. We cannot have a band in in our Main Bar that you cannot understand what they are saying because they are screaming too loud. I (myself) sometimes enjoy that, but I know what our crowd likes. Over the past year, we have mainly hired in cover bands. I would like to find some good new age cover bands. I would also explore bands with their own music, but you must have website, music samples, and maybe even video samples. We would provide lodging for the night of your gig. Our budget range really depends on the week we schedule you. We have two types of budgets for a band; percentage based on cover and/or set price. 09-07-10 - Chicago, IL>Milwaukee, WI - have sang in bands and worked with several musicians but nothing's been able to stand the test of time. I have a journal filled with lyrics and i am not the best guitar player. Right now I'm just looking for a writing partner. somebody that can play the guitar and write new licks, and maybe even do back up vocals or leads if need be. I'm a mellow dude and just wanna write songs again and play them for people. If i could I'd love to be in a band, but at this point i'm fine with just finding a guitarist and doing unplugged stuff, but if you know musicians that wanna come out that's cool
I'd love to get stuff written and recorded, and eventually start playing shows again. I'm really passionate about this stuff, but I try not to take myself too seriously or be a dick about anything. I'm tired of playing with dudes that just can't get their schedules in order to commit to making music. I have a very flexible schedule and can always find time in the week to practice. Not to be too demanding but it'd be cool to find someone in their early or mid twenties. No disrespect to the older rockers but age gaps have caused some tension before. I'm pretty head strong about booking shows and planning practices and promoting too, so one way or another we could make some pro -- Project Type: 1

We are in our mid thirties with regular daytime jobs- we play for small stakes and the joy of playing. We are an up and coming band with room to grow - so if you think that you can bring something new to the table we would like to hear from you. We practice every friday with a few exceptions alternating between the drummers house in shorewood (joliet) and the guitar/singers house in montgomery. We have a deep interest in groups such as Sublime- White Stripes - Black Keys - The Heavy - Red Hot Chili Peppers- Rage against the machine- the Doors- tom petty- many of our songs are open to interpretation, and some of them provide creative opportunities for a bass player like in the case of the black keys and white stripes where there is no bass player!
